ABOUT STORY SERVED

THE BEST STORIES RARELY BEGIN WITH A RÉSUMÉ.

THE BEST STORIES RARELY BEGIN WITH A RÉSUMÉ.

Story Served is a podcast about the moments that shape us - the setbacks, decisions, relationships and turning points that rarely make it into the polished version of a life.

Each episode takes place over a real meal, in a real restaurant, where conversation has room to become more honest and a little less rehearsed.

THE FOOD IS THE SETTING. THE STORY IS THE POINT.

WHY A MEAL?

People speak differently around a table.

Food gives us a ritual, a shared pause and something to return to when the story gets personal. It lowers the formality of an interview and creates space for memories, detours and moments that might not emerge in a studio.

The meal isn’t the subject. It’s what makes the conversation possible.

JENNY GUO

I grew up around restaurants, so some of my earliest memories are of people talking over food - conversations that became more open as the meal went on.

Story Served grew from that same instinct. I’m less interested in polished success stories than the setbacks, decisions and experiences that shaped someone before the headline version of their life.

My role is simple: ask the questions I’d genuinely want to know, then make enough space for the real answer.

THE STORIES WE LOOK FOR

We’re drawn to people who have lived through a real turning point - the kind of experience that changed how they see themselves, their work or the world around them.

That might be a founder, artist, athlete, chef, operator, leader or someone whose story has never been told publicly before.

We care less about status than substance.
